hi,
a firm doing legal transcription wants to explore the use of linux. What is needed is: "a Startstop foot pedal system and a Soundcard that enables you to adjust bass and treble on audio files". Any clues as to what this is, can it work on linux and if so what is the cost/recommendations?
Foot pedal cost is Rs.150/- at lamington rd. Available at Music master. you can use sox to adjust anything in the sound bitstream. There is also a Python script which uses ladsp to give you a graphic equalizer though i never liked it's o/p.
