Could you make a link to http://www.gnu.org.in/AkrutiFreeFonts.tgz at an appropriate place, with the free fonts release notes posted on the fsf mailing lists a week ago. You may move the tar ball to an appropriate place, I have kept at the above place.

These fonts are going to distribute widely, and many will convert it into OTF, so make typo corrections as early as possible.
