Interesting to see LB2004 http://linux-bangalore.org/2004/ call iself an annual "Free & Open Source Event". Earlier, it was just Open Source, though in 2003, one of the speakers was also from Debian GNU/Linux.
There still seems to be some reluctance in using the term Free/Libre and Open Source Software (and instead FOSS is preferred, minus the Libre).
Just an observation. the spirit of freedom and sharing is what makes FLOSS different from being just another wannabe Microsoft. Others would see this differently, of course.
