Hi friends,
Recently I have written an application which can be used in the schools in kerala as student admission register as per Kerala Educational Rules [KER]. This would make tasks such as T.C issuance, finding details about students etc easier.
Checkout http://code.google.com/p/school-admin
Platforms: GNU/Linux , M$ Windows
Comments please :)
Good initiative, Sarath. I am sure this can be used in schools. But they may want a more comprehensive school admin software. There is apparently an effort to develop a school admin software at http://www.schooltool.org/about-schooltool/schooltool-vision?set_language=en There probably are other such initiatives. See if you can contribute to one of them.
Best Sasi

I didn't get this. The site says it is GPLv3, did I miss anything? Can you pin point where it did not respect GNU GPL?

Sarath, Perhaps you should start looking at Moodle and try to find its use for schools here. Attendance/Marks could well be a result of a trivial clerical intervention in academics. CK Raju
