Make sure that the teachers will able to manage, GNU/Linux boxes at school, themselves, after the training.
With regards

ultimately working with teachers will be useful. please try to develop long standing relations with teaching community. one teacher means 30 years of prolonged contact with several batches of students every year. what will be the content of these meetings?

I followed the links from the education.kerala.gov.in which pravi gave on this page, and am going through
http://www.education.kerala.gov.in/source_book/IT%20-%20Source%20B.pdf http://www.education.kerala.gov.in/SoftExamQ/SSLC_PracticalWordPro.pdf http://www.education.kerala.gov.in/SoftExamQ/SSLC_PracticalPresentation.pdf
(malayalam pdf files)
I am extremely happy to note the sea change in attitude of the educationists.
However, I have a few nitpicks. In the last two files, (which are in malayalam) the instructions are to save files in a folder on the c drive.
The first file (on page 31 of the pdf) gives the wrong extension for the OO.o file format (.ssw; the correct extension is .sxw); and on page 47 of the pdf, there is an example of html snippet using <marquee> tag. AFAIK, <marquee> is not standard html; and is a M$ extension to html 4.01, adopted by netscape (and therefore supported on gecko based browsers).
And here is something from page 40 which works, but is IMHO syntactically wrong:-

A little more compliance to W3C's HTML syntax, _and_ standards would be helpful.
