it would be better if it is conducted in association with SJCE mysore as already few professors and head of the departments are completely using GNU /Linux in their labs
for example Prof Anand Murthy of Electrical department who is heading the department is using only free softwares in their labs ----
Also there are many other professors who are very much into this already -- please take their help -- contact prof anand murth of Sjce , electrical department -- it will be a big success.....

There were around 300+ people registered for the first Gnu/Linux Habba event conducted at SERC, IISc, Bangalore in April, 08. More than 200 people were benefited. Around 100 people installed Linux @ the venue. 200+ Ubuntu CD's mailed to people who wanted to try out Linux. Now its time to help others who didn't get to attend the last event.
We request you to include other distros like Debian lenny , Fedora 9 , gNewSense etc in addition to ubuntu
Yes, Sampada technical team is now heading towards Mysore to conduct its second Linux install Fest "Gnu/Linux Habba".
