Alsa problem

I installed debian sarge on my system. But I am not able to configure sound card. When I run alsaconf it's not selecting my sound card. How I can configure my soundcard. When I run #lspci it shows this as sound card device Multimedia audio controller: Slicon Integrated System [SiS] sound controller (rev 0f)

Hello All, A meeting of all the volunteers has been scheduled for the 13th of August to co-ordinate our efforts towards the conference preparation. Agenda: 1. Check-up of our previously assumed responsibilities. 2. Formation of various sub-committees and assigning convenors to each sub-committee. 3. Allocation of responsibilities to volunteers. Venue: Cubbon Park (near Queen's statue) - the huge rocks just a little inside. Date: 13th August, 2006. Time: 1700 hrs (05 PM) sharp. Which license should I use?

Hi, I am making an application which is actually a combination of different packages. Now the problem is these packages are of diffrent licenses like : GPL, LGPL, MIT, MPL. Now I am confused in which license my application should be released ? And whether it is at all required to have a license for my application or not? Regards, Kushal

sendmail + dovecot + outlook problem

I installed Debian Sarge on my network as proxy server now this machine is working as a proxy very well. Our client need local mail server I would like to plan uses this proxy server as a local mail server. In our network all client machine are windows XP so we would like to use local mail through outlook mail client. I think sendmail and dovecot can solve this problem so I just installed sendmail and dovecot and try to send mails through outlook but it's not working. I think I have to modify sendmail and dovecot configuration files. How I can fix this problem. Please help me.

Fedora not getting after install Debian

I installed windows XP and Fedora Core 5 on my system. It was working properly but when I installed Debian sarge on my free partition I am not getting Fedora. When I try to load fedora it's reboot automatically I found some message something like SELinux on loading this so I try to update fedora but on that time It's showing this message. It contain two "/"(root label) first fix that problem and try again. Can I install Win XP, Fedora Core 5 and Debian sarge on one system? If so how I can overcome this problem. Please guide.

Sendmail problem on outlook

I installed sendmail and dovecot on my Fedora core 5 machine. I am using this is my local mail server. It was worked properly but last two days it's shows this error message while sending mail. "Relaying denied. IP name lookup failed [192.168.134.16] Port 25 Secure (SSL)" so I put the IP of windows machine into /etc/mail/access file now it's sending but I can't receive the mails through outlook and it's not showing any error message while receiving. Please help

Debian Sound Port Problem

I have a desktop computer with AMD processor and ASUS mother board. I installed Windows XP, Fedora Core 5 and Debian Sarge on my computer. On windows XP and Fedora Core 5 I am getting sound on first port of soundboard but on Debian I am getting sound only I plug speaker cable on middle port of soundboard. On changing any configuration can I get sound on first port of soundboard on Debian. It's because my brother and all using Windows XP.
