Ask on the Pune Eclipse Platform Developer's Group, there are some people there who've added custom components to the CDT. http://groups.google.com/group/eclipse-pune-dev?pli=1

Hi, Download Eclipse Ganymede from Eclipse Download sitehttp://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/technology/epp/downloads/release/ganymede/SR1/eclipse-cpp-ganymede-SR1-linux-gtk.tar.gz. Unzip in your Linux user directory.. Start Eclipse by simply double clicking Eclipse executable. As simple as that. Link : http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/technology/epp/downloads...
or
Use synaptic package manager. First update all the repositories.. Search for Eclipse in synaptic search bar.. From the results select Eclipse and CDT plug-ins to be installed.

If you run Debian Etch(I have not yet done my upgrade, waiting for Lenny stable) by any chance, it comes packaged with it, just do an apt-get install and be done with it. :)
