"Under the first UP project in Bangladesh, Microsoft will support community ICT training to more than 2,000 disadvantaged youth every year and facilitate information access at the grassroots-level. Microsoft's contribution includes US$ 90,000 in cash grants, software, training curriculum and certifications for rural communities. Eight existing rural telephone shops and ICT training facilities will be converted to full Internet enabled Community Technology Learning Centres with LEARN Foundation providing Internet over its Smart Villages Wireless LAN infrastructures."
