Hi,
Anyone with Debian GNU/Hurd K5/K6 (or even K7, maybe - or even older ones) CDs?
Anil C John, CS student from Kerala, mailed me today (apparently he is under the impression that yours truly is a Hurd hacker - let it remain that way ;) ) He needs to install Hurd to kick off his project, but does not have the bandwith to download the ISOs.
If anyone is blessed with possession of the said Hurd ISOs or CDs, please let me know, or mail da dude (Anil C John anilcjohn@sify.com) directly.
Thanks!

I recommend Debian GNU/Hurd K8 if you can download them from http://ftp.gnuab.org/pub/debian-cd/K8/ The 2GB filesystem limit has gone. The tests were made on a 20 GB partition.

I doubt if this would do... Hurd runs rather slow, compared to Linux. And it does a lot better on faster hardware. At least that is what I noticed two years back.
