Thanks for Volunteering, Joep. There is a good news and a The bad news. The Bad news first: demo@schools is defunct. The good news is that Free Software User Group Bangalore (India) is planning to do activities similar to Demo@Schools and we will certainly need your help.
Please hold on to your email while I forward your mail to my FSUG here to get their feedback!
Thanks,
-Suraj

Hmmm... wouldn't resurrecting demo@schools be a good idea?
Sajith.

Well, no :)
The project page in savannah says that "Demo@Schools project aims at promoting Free Software to educational institutes in India" and, "...the projected started with the aim of demoing Free Software to matriculation schools in Tamilnadu."
Ok, it started in Tamil Nadu, and since I didn't have much of a background about the project, I assumed that it had expansion plans.
I meant, having a project with well-defined goals would be a good idea. This way we could do a good amount of resource-pooling and sharing. If demo@schools could be resurrected, it should be better than starting afresh... what are the limitations of such a PoA, if any?
Sajith.

Of course, I was kidding. It would be good to have it resurrected. But what I thought of was that it was a 'feasible' project in Madras/TamilNadu because each school decided its own syllabus. So it was only a matter of doing things the big-brother way ;) Help a "smaller" school in the locality and thereby make the "opponent" (larger) school to also adopt Free Software. Atleast that was the evil domination plan that we had. ;)

No limitation as I see it. Good thing is that I'm still holding Rs.5000/- from the Demo@Schools fund. So even if we needed some collateral, it can be done.
