Hi Dominick,
Welcome to Bangalore. Hope you are enjoying the city's weather.
Yes, I am! Thanks. The slow traffic is annoying me though!
I agree with you that the community is less active. I too would like to make some good fnds and learn more about open source.
This is not an open source community Manjunath. We must clearly understand the difference between free software and open source software. I'm not sure if open source is offtopic on this mailing list. The seniors will tell us though. Here are a couple of links you might want to read: http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/open-source-misses-the-point.html

I am planning to attend foss.in but I cant confirm it as of now.
I understand it is too early to give an RSVP.
I'm looking forward for a casual meet over a weekend. I'll start a separate topic for the same.
Cheers, Dominick
hi ray ,
i guess this is a similar situation of many fsugs around. I am not from Bangalore but still i subscribed to this list just to know what other groups are doing. I am from calicut basically . The fsug here is also in similar situation. Not much activities. Same with the NIT Calicut fosscell. May be we could plan for some exciting event here together and try it everywhere.
good day for all.
Thanks for that. I always mess this up. Recently watched Revolution OS and got really confused. Will go thru the link given by you.
Regards,
Manjunath
