Its /dev/psaux for PS/2 >mouse. I was also confused when I switched from RH to Debian. I got a Logitech Serial Mouse and is on COM2, so I selected /dev/ttyS1. But now when I try startx it gives me Fatal Server Error. Mouse(Input/Output Error) It does suggest that there seems to be some communication problem with the mouse while X starts. At the back of mouse its written MouseMan Logitech Serial-Port Mouse. Now should I select Mouseman protocol or the option for serial mice in the Mouse config section of xf86config. I'm a little bit confused about it. I dont have manual for that mouse. What is a Maximal Count?

Hi Group Sometimes when I boot into RH Linux i encounter a message saying the maximal count for the mount point is reached and a check of the mount point is initiated. I don't seem to know what this means even when I halt my system in the correct fashion. Can anybody help me figure this out. Thanx

Hi, fetchmail: fetchmail: getaddrinfo(pop.mail.yahoo.com.pop3) fetchmail: Query status=2 (SOCKET) fetchmail: Deleting fetchids file. fetchmail: normal termination, status 2 fetchmail: Deleting fetchids file. what is the query socket stuff in fetchmail ? it only does this and does not fetchmails ! any help / hints / tips regards, parag mehta -- #exclude <windows.h>

Hi all, Yesterday I installed winmodem, motorola sm56, on my linux box. It works fine. But I can use it as a root only & not with other users. How can I give permision to my other usrs to use the modem? Configuring DHCP Server?

1stly, I appologise for repeating the question. I was wondering if any1 here has successfully configure DHCP Server. I have tried configuring PCQ RH 7.1, as a DHCP server, but have repeatedly failed, i have followed every single step mentioned in the magazine and the how-to's, but m not able to get the DHCP Server working. Only 1's I could setup the DHCP on PCQ RH 7.1 right, where i have done a full installation, in my office. Here at home, where i dont have enuf disk space, and trying to setup for testing, it doesnt work. I have repeatedly formated and tried reconfigured the setup, but havent got my DHCP to work.
