Oh! I thought, syllabi in engineering degree courses
were better off as compared to the ones in
UGC/university.
There are a few websites of airlines like Air Deccan
and Go Air, who haven't developed compliant websites.
I had to use Internet Explorer for their websites!
But I wonder, is it really a browser war or the
rendering engine war (Trident, Gecko, Presto)

Hi Kenneth / All,
Thanks for your instant support. What I am trying to do is
simply run the Linux O.S. commands using CGI + Apache.
This is so I can run simple scripts and show output through HTML.
So far I have done the following.
a) In httpd.conf
ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ /usr/local/apache2/cgi-bin/
b) Started Perl
/usr/bin/perl -w &
Now I am not exactly Knowing What to do . If someone can give me
in simple steps a simple configuration and sample CGI script + I will
be reading the links sent by you guys

With 75,000+ Drupal power websites and an emerging industry
supporting over 150 professionals, the open-source Drupal project and
community is exploding. At the heart of this community is an
incredibly active and productive group of contributors.
Creating contributed modules, themes, bug fixes, and core
enhancement, these individuals define the course of the Drupal
project and the ecosystem of users, tinkerers, and professionals
around it. Through this internship program we will attempt to train
students from India the ins and outs of Drupal and help them
established themselves as long term contributors to the Drupal project.
Over two months the selected students will work closely with project
mentors on real world Drupal projects; contributed modules, and core
patches. They will learn the Drupal development process and gain
extremely valuable experience interacting with a live open-source
project.
Students will be paid a stipend of 4,600 INR to 8,000 INR a month
depending on the level of their contributions to the Drupal project.

Dear Sir
We got a google alert for the discussion you were having on
gnowledge.org.
I have read through the whole thing. I wanted to reply to this there
itself but could not find a way of doing it. And your mail ID was
decipherable.
It would be great if you could tell the people on the discussion that we
are fully aware of the issue and are working to rectify it. The fact is
that the development of the site started quite a while back. At that
time Firefox was not so widely used. We are currently testing the site
and it will soon be available on Firefox too.
Regret the inconvenience.
Thanking in anticipation.
Warm regards

Nope. 3yrs back lightening took away my PCI card but comp worked.
Then just 4days back one of my customers "on board" card blew because
of lightening. But comp and LAN (PCI card) worked.
So its not necessary that lightening will take away mother board.

Hello all,
Greetings from the Linux For You team!
As you all know, last month we launched a new initiative called
CommunitySpeak where we pose a question to various ILUG mailing lists and
publish the top five responses (selected by our technical editors) in the
magazine. Thanks to all those who responded to last month's question on "why
a majority of the world's top 10 supercomputers are powered by Linux". The
best five among the responses received are to be published in the July 2006
issue of LFY.
The selected responses were sent by Vishnu Vyas (Chennai), S R Parthan
(Chennai), R Subramanian (Chennai), Manu Konchady (Bangalore) and P Sriram
(Chennai). Thanks again for your participation.
This month we have chosen the topic: "What would make a Windows user pick up
a Linux magazine?"
No, this is not a marketing tactic. We are *really* curious. What would make
Windows users pick up a Linux magazine? How can we convince them to read
about and adopt Linux and other free and open source software? Would they be
interested in reading about free business software than run on Windows?
What's your take on this? Our eyes and ears are wide open and we are waiting
to listen to your ideas. Please write to us at writetojanani(a)gmail.com with
a CC to atul.goel(a)efyindia.com before July 5th 2006.
The top five responses will be published in the August 2006 issue of Linux
for You.
Look forward to your responses.
Thanks,
