No, you can't.
We must have ILUG-Delhi rule. You have given the idea, you need to
work on it first!

We can spin the globe in reverse direction. Please start the things on LUG wiki.

There has been a lot of discussion of GNU/Linux versus Linux. I am
not clear on one point. It is said that GNU is the operating system
and Linux is the kernel. I have been going through Stallman's essays
and FSF literature for the past few hours and am unable to come up
with an answer to this question:
What precisely are the applications/tools that comprise the GNU
operating system?

I would like to lodge a strong protest with the admins of ILUG-BOM
over this member's behaviour :
He (she?) has deleted all traces of matter pertaining to decryption of
Pacenet's password and inserted standard sales talk in its place. I
have not undone this as I want to know whether doing so is "illegal"
as the user 'Pacenetrules' claims.
Perhaps we need to get a LUG meet arranged with these fanboys and ISP heads.
Why should users of non-windows opeating systems bend over backwards
to rightfully get what they have paid for?

Hello All,
I am planning to start the DTP process after some days so please provide
your inputs by the next 7 days. Please do check out the last paragraph
on why linux is not popular and check if anything invites trouble from
manufacturers or if anything extra needs to be added. The first
paragraph about contributions and licences appears to be balanced so no
further editing may be required. I am actually going to distribute these
brochures so please help in getting the page contents finalised within a
week. Another important thing is.......what about mentioning this list
in the brochure and do we have any logos to go with it. I want to show
it as a LUG-BOM effort.

The Linux For You Fedora Core 6 DVD seems to be defective. I used it
on an IBM R51 and it failed to boot with a kernel panic. The reason I
think this is not a problem with the distribution itself is because I
found the downloaded ISOs from the mirrors working fine.

Well the DVDs they gave might be lukewarm at best. :-)

Universities are places of knowledge. The freshman each bring a
little in with them, and the seniors take none away, so knowledge
accumulates.

Not exactly a plan ;-) but it's a start, for sure. I
am a little committed to too many things in January,
but can help with some non-hardware based networking.

Yes, there is an audience, possibly a paying audience,
and either paying or non-paying (fully sponsored)
models can be worked out.

Right... errrr... but let's be a little more clear on
what we want ^before^ we do that.

That's MET, not MIT - let's not confuse them before we
even get started.

I say this is the first thing to lock down on: topics,
speakers.
In general, are we talking about limiting this event
to FOSS, or will we address needs of Mumbai's users in
general? Are we talking corporate or all kinds of
users? Are we addressing end-users or service
providers?
Please keep in mind that we can't serve everyone, and
shouldn't try: that will dilute the event and put off
sponsors and audience alike.
Looking forward to this
