Georgi Guninski has outed another IE bug -- this one could let a hacker read documents on the hard drive of a Web surfer's PC. The vulnerability is in IE Version 6.0 and version 5.5 for Windows 2000, each with the latest security patches installed. Search for the above string by reading every line. $_ variable contains the current line. You can do this by using pattern searching operations in Perl. 3. Once you find the above line then split that line at spaces and collect the required date in a variable. Here is the code which I would prefer to write. open(RH,"</root/sandeep/log111.txt"); while(<RH>) { if($_ =~ /##Date/) { $flag = 1; } else { $flag = 0; } if($flag eq 1) { ($str1, $str2) = split(/ /, $_); $date = $str2; } } Hope this is very much clear. Check the timestamp of the mails

Hi Guys, Just check out the timestamp of some later mails. It shows mm/dd/yy with yy=03.... It should be the problem of ILUG mail server, I guess, 'coz I'm not having this problem with any other mails of mine. What could be the reason???
