Hi I am using Cable Connection for internet I have configured my Lan Card on Red Hat Linux 7........and am also able to ping the server of my Cable operator..but am not able to surf the net or connect to internet..... Hi I am basically trying to switch over from windows 2k to linux. I am trying to set up a router on a 333 Mhz box with 2 lancards with static IPs on both of them. I have set up the IPs on both the cards. Now my current situation is that from the computer behind the router I can ping the local network card as well as the external card but it does not ping and computre on the external network. Connecting to Dishnet DSL

Hi, I have been trying to get Dishnet DSL working on my Mandrake 8.2 machine. This is a USB modem supplied by Dishnet in Mumbai, and is probably a Conexant-make (as is seen in Windows). When I plug this in Linux, the power light does turn on, as in all USB devices, and on running `usbview' I can see it listed as "USB ADSL modem". But my problem is how do I connect to the net? linux PPC assembly programmers

if anyone is (or knows) programming under linux on the PPC, specifically assembly, then a friend of mine needs your help. Contact colin(a)colino.net AFAIK, this is non-commercial. ie, you probably won't be paid. It's more like adding features to an existing Free Software project.
