Dear Mr. Wadhwa,
Mindrome had signed with Red Hat as a training partner, they were never
an RHCE center for exam.
Red Hat has no association with them since they had not completed the
agreement with Red Hat, and had closed the Mindrome training centre
even before commencement.
Hope this clarifies your query on RHCE exam at training centres.
Thanks
Regards,

Subject: [ILUG-BOM] RHCE exams by Mindrome?
Date: 28 May 2002 03:45:19 +0530
Dear Sandeep
I came across this following message of yours while doing a google
search about Mindrome. Mindrome is a fraud company that has closed down
after cheating a lot of people (me being one of them) and the directors
have disappeared. I am looking for one of theire directors, Mr. Amit
Nayak. I am trying to find out his new place of work. Would you have any
idea. I know his residence is somewhere in Surat.
Also I would be interested in knowing how did you come across Mindrome
or the fact that they conduct RHCE exams. I know it for certain that
their activity has been zero except for the fact that they were able to
get a few franchisees based on a lot of falsehoods.

When you enter rescue mode, none of your partitions is mounted. Nor are there any disk devices configured. Depending on your version and distro, the rescue mode might try to detect a Linux partition and …
[View More]mount it. You'll be told if that happens.
Assuming that it doesn't, you'll have to make a device for your hard disk [eg. 1 IDE HDD with root as the 1st partition]:
# mknod /dev/hda
Create a dir to mount your root partition
# mkdir /myroot
Mount the root partition on to the new dir
# mount -t ext[2|3] /dev/hda1 /myroot
Now you have to map the root to the new dir you created so do:
# chroot /myroot
edit /myroot/etc/lilo.conf and run /myroot/sbin/lilo afterwards.

There was a powercut when my linux box was on. As a result, my system is saying that the filesystem is damaged. Running the repair utility does not help. Any suggestions?
I run RH 7.1 on a Cyrix MII with 64 mb ram. Double-booted with Windows 98. Lilo seems to be running fine, though.
