how to configure external modem on linux

hi !!! i'm wondering if anyone can help me out ??? i can't seem to be able to configure my dlink 56kbps external modem on linux....redhat v7.2 i've used both graphical and text mode interface but when i dial i alwayz get a response of "NO DIAL TONE DETECTED" can anyone help me out

Reinstalling GRUB

Hi, I have the following setup hd1 -> Grub , Win2000 hd2-> RH8 and RH7.2 in seprate partitions. I use Grub to boot in either of the 3 O/s's. Now, I want to reformat and reinstall Win2000 on my primary master hdd. I am quite sure Grub will go away. I have boot disks to go back into RH7.2. Can I then boot into 7.2 and reinstall Grub ?? I do not remember how, or in what sequence I did all this the first time, so now I am concerned that I may not be able to reinstall grub. I do not want to use xosl / lilo or any other boot loader. Is this possible ? Thanks Shahed.

Yes this is supported and the variables as rightly pointed out can/will be accessed as an array. The above looks suspiciously like HTML. hi! its simple....just name the textbox as 'firstname[]' ..............this brackets tells its an array........so you will get array of firstname when form is submitted......... eg... form.php will be like this __________________________________________________________________ <FORM METHOD=POST ACTION="submit.php"> <INPUT TYPE="text" NAME="firstname[]"><BR> <INPUT TYPE="text" NAME="firstname[]"><BR> <INPUT TYPE="text" NAME="firstname[]"><BR> <INPUT TYPE="text" NAME="firstname[]"><BR> <INPUT TYPE="submit"> </FORM> __________________________________________________________________ and submit.php will be......... _______________________________________________________________ <?php print_r($firstname); /********* or **********/ for ($i=0;$i<count($firstname);$i++) { echo $firstname[$i]; } ?> _________________________________________________________________ regards vaibhav.

qt programming

I have not managed to get qt programming working, I would like if any of you could write a simple code that will open a new window on clicking a button on a form. Hi, there's no reply on my previous mail...!!! I'm sending my question again...!!! I'm having Red Hat Linux 7.3 machine connected to the netowrk (10/100)...!!! I want to know on which speed is my network card is running...??? also I want to know is it running on full-duplex or half-duplex...!!! any help will be gr8 for me...!!! thanx, Regards, Pranay
