Hi, I am planning to write a program to discover particulars of some hardware devices on a system. For the ones where I need to make ioctl() calls, I do not know which device file in /dev to open. How can I discover which file to open and the ioctl never fails ? thanks Manish

Guys.. i am brand new to linux.. and if mandrake 8.2 was not so user friendly.. i would have dismissed it just as much.. now i am hooked. I have a little programming bg.. hence the interest in linux.. but i am completely new to the unix/linux paradigm. mostly done work on windows. Hence find navigating throug linux a little confusing... Any of you know of a decent website or book.. that i can start learning with? Clubbing Bandwidth

Hi, One of my friend has 2 DSL lines[64K each]. Questions: 1> Can he club this bandwidth into a machine [Linux machine] 2> and from there how can he distribute clubbed bandwidth to many users . He wants to provide internet connection in his building. He would like to have a bandwidth restriction on each such user. Any help/links will be highly appreciated Rich

Dear All, I have to install one of the freely available RADIUS package on Linux for one of my customers. I've tried to googlize the search, however there is no definitive guide to installation.
