Interest from North Mumbai

Kunal is a GNU/Linux fan who is keen to start some activity in North Mumbai. His phone number is (250) 251 2210 Currently, Kunal has a lot of questions -- how should a LUG keep busy, what are suitable activities at a meeting, how to keep a group active? In view of the concentration of Linuxers activities in South Mumbai, would it be possible for veterans of this list to encourage Kunal and team to set up a LUG for the northern suburbs? Our experience in Goa suggests that launching new LUGs in the more remote areas encourages a whole lot of others -- who would have not got otherwise involved -- to get involved with Free Software. Hi, Does anyone know the status of Clinton Goveas' Linux-on CD service? It was due to resume sometime now. I sent him a mail re. Mandrake 9.1, but got no reply... thanks, --Royce.

Hi, Does any one know the status of Clinton Goveas' Linux-on-CD service? I sent him a mail a couple of days back re. Mandrake 9.1 CD, but got no reply. I know his CD writer was down, but the service was due to resume around the 10th May. BTW I have a CD writer in my PC at office if its any help to him. Clinton are you around? :) Thanks, --Royce.

Hi, I am trying to implement LTSP alongside a Windows 2000 Server. Have been successful partially but when it comes to X-Windows, the resoultion of the interface is blurred and thereon cannot do anything further... Could anybody just guide me the way out of this...??? Thanx n' Regards, Ash

what is Venue of next Lug meet. Help for Project.

Hello Luggers, This is my first mail. I am new to linux. I have few queries please hel p me in solving them. 1) when is the next lug meet ? and Where is it? Could somebody please direct me how to reach the venue. I stay at Nerul, Navi Mumbai. 2) I am an Engineering Student (T.E. Computers) and would like to do my final year project on Linux Platform. Could somebody please suggest any firms where I may approach, or else suggest any topic for the project work. Any suggestion is welcome. [Help ] LTSP: X-Windows configuration

Hi folks, I am trying to get LTSP implemented alongwith a Windows Server. LTSP on the client works properly but when it comes to X-Windows the resolution gets blurred and thereon nothing further can be done. Could anybody plz help me out ???
