Internet Problems

Hello Luggers, The internet access after the modem installation is quite queer. If I setup the internet conection wizard, it creates a network device ppp0 in the list, below the eth0 device. However even after dialing to my isp, it does not show the device ppp0 as active. I have 3 different ISPs so I configured them in kppp. Everything is fine and the connections take place, but when I want to go to any site it only keeps going upto 'resolving host' and does not find the site.
