Problem with installing ayttm

Hi I did post this on aytttm mailing list but haven't got any response. I am facing a problem with installing the latest ayttm from cvs. I need to use it so that I can video chat with my family back home. There are 2 pages: * http://www.danvine.com/iecapture/ displays the output of various Windows browsers including various versions of IE. * http://www.danvine.com/icapture/ displays Safari output. Unfortunately the site is heavily overloaded and I don't know if the IE output works any more. Network problem

There is an odd problem I am facing. I just realized that I can't ping anyone on the network...not even myself (localhost). :-s I am using two IP addresses in the form of eth0 and eth0:1 . The eth0 is used for Sify's static IP and eth0:1 for the local network. Amazingly, everything including all internet applications and DC work perfectly. But neither can I ping anyone's IP on the local network (except for Sify's server) nor can others ping my IP. The point is that this is happening only on Ubuntu. These things seem to be on m$. Due to this problem, I can't use applications like vnc and gnump3d. What could be the problem? I have inserted lines for eth0:1 manually in the /etc/network/interfaces -- Regards, Sanket Medhi.

Webcam support on Debian Unstable

Hi When I plug in my webcam on my laptop, I get this message in the messages file kernel: usb 2-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 7 However there is no info on the device it is mapped to. Does anyone have a webcam working on their Debian systems?
