Hi,
(completing the subject line)
I'll...try my best to attend all future meets of ILUG!...I was really impressed with the content discussed in the meet....and I know what I have really missed out in the previous meetings....
Firstly, Thanks to Meena Madam!...I thought DTP related work was native to application in windows...but LateX proves it wrong!
Thanks (can't recall the name) for info on Redhat Certifications
Some points that I can recall...told by Dr. Nagarjuna
"LateX has been a bug free software for the past 20 years..(hope I got the number right)..."
That's really great!...
and EMACS..makes it really simple to use LateX!....

Hello,
have configured postfix to query the ldap server to verify email addresses as
follows:
local_recipient_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/aliases,ldap:ldap-usermap
unknown_local_recipient_reject_code = 450
The problem is if the ldap servers are unavailable postfix rejects all email
without queuing for retry. Is it possible to configure postfix to defer
delivery of any email when the ldap servers are offline.
Thanks
Regards,
Komal

Hello,
There was a query from the Mechanical Engg dept of a college in
Tamil Nadu regarding the free/open source alternatives for following
geometric modelling/CAD softwares. They would prefer to use
free/open source softwares wherever possible for academic purpose.
1. I-DEAS 8.0 Master series
2. Unigraphics NX series
3. CATIA V5R15
Please let me know if you have come across good free/open source
alternatives for above mentioned softwares.
Thanks and regards,

Hello All,
I was looking for a simple net monitor that provided the two monitor
icons and gave visual indications of Tx/Rx traffic. My system, Kubuntu 5.10.
For Kde, I found 'knemo'. I downloaded this and
it now provides the two monitor icons indicating net traffic. When you
run it for the first time, you need to add your net interface to the empty
list.
Regards,
Rony.
