Configuring hylafax on CentOS 5.5

Hi, I'm trying to setup and configure a fax server, the server is in remotely located. I installed hylafax by following this http://www.sertec.ca/howtos/HowtoInstallHYLAFax.html. I have the following configuration. Modem : conexant d850 version : hylafax 4.4 OS : CentOS 5.5 when I try to run sendfax I get following output but the fax is not being send, [root@localhost hylafax]# sendfax -vv -n -k ‘now +1hour’ -m -d 18003177796 /home/administrator/Desktop/fax.pdf Trying localhost (127.0.0.1) at port 4559... Connected to localhost.localdomain. 220 localhost.localdomain server (HylaFAX (tm) Version 4.4.4) ready. -> USER root 230 User root logged in. +1hour’: Can not open file I checked log and its empty. I even cant say if the server is able to detect the modem, can any guide me how do detect the modem and configuring the server ? -- Regards Mukesh Yadav

connect to office from factory

Ubuntu 10.10 on Dell 14R N4010

In all my years with Linux, this is the first laptop on which everything like sound, mike, webcam, wifi, screen resolution, external display, sleep and resume, function keys, even the sd card read/write all work out of the box with Ubuntu 10.10. Amazing!! Comes with DOS only so no M$ tax on purchase price. Intel Core i3 370M @ 2.4 Ghz, 4gb DDR3 ram, 500Gb hdd, 14" WLED screen. Mystery between: eth0 Link not ready - Reliance Netconnect BB+ 10.04 (Ubuntu)

All, I was able to use Reliance Netconnect BB+ on Ubuntu 10.04 without doing much and Ubuntu detecting the device and just asking for the number to be dialled and credentials. However, once I had to just test a proxy server on ubuntu so I plugged in a LAN Card and then tried to connect to BB+ the usual way I do. However, since then (and at that time) I have not been able to connect to BB+ at all and Ubuntu just doesn't connect to the internet. I recently noted that in the logs (dmesg) it shows up eth0: link not ready for some odd reason - I do not have the LAN cable connected any longer now. Is this a recent known bug (I couldn't find any bugs though) or is there something that I'm not doing correctly? -- Roshan Baladhanvi

Keys misbehaving in GUI

Strange behaviour observed. On latest Ubuntu 10.10 updated, when I login as a particular user in GUI, most of keys towards right half of keyboard start misbehaving. Many keys don't produce any action, some make cursor to move. I checked keyboard layout, it is not changed. If I login in Console mode, it is OK. For other users, it is OK. Can it be virus? How I can find problem, or how I can correct it / restore to original one. -- H.S.Rai
