Hi,
It's just 10 days for the new year to begin.
Most of us have made new year resolutions and hacking plans for the next
year.
Last year I came around a book called 52 Mondays.
It's an awesome book to help plan our new year for the gr8 grand success
that awaits us.
I have made a SlideShare and a YouTube video on the simple aspects of the
book.
You can enjoy the stuff as Slideshare and as a YouTube.

The Passionate Programmer (2nd edition)Creating a Remarkable Career in
Software Developmentby Chad FowlerThis book is about creating a remarkable
career in software development. In most cases, remarkable careers don’t
come by chance. They require thought, intention, action, and a willingness
to change course when you’ve made mistakes. Most of us have been stumbling
around letting our careers take us where they may. It’s time to take
control. This revised and updated second edition lays out a strategy for
planning and creating a radically successful life in software development.

I just loved this book.
And I am making a podcast on it.
Should be able to release it before 2020 starts.
I believe many would benefit from my effort.

Open Source == Open Collaboration
Open Source == Open Culture
Open Source == Open Specs
Open Source == Open Debugging
Open Source == Open Roadmap
Open Source == Open Outcome
If Open Source is applied to technology:
— it becomes awesome
— it becomes powerful
— it becomes larger than specs
— it becomes bug free
— it becomes power of public domain
If Open Source is applied to business segment:
— it becomes foolish
— it becomes pain point of some1 else’s business
— it becomes free of cost part of some1’s business process
— it becomes no revenue corner for the Inc.
— it becomes a pain point for the others in the industry

I just did a small check on how many listings they have for Project

They have 607+ Project Management Softwares

the all favourite – Basecamp.com <http://www.basecamp.com/>
After completing my CS studies, I will focus only on doing business
research here.
Linus Torvalds, Linux’s creator, doesn’t make speeches anymore. But, what
he does do, and he did again at Open Source Summit Europe in Lyon France is
have public conversations with his friend Dirk Hohndel, VMware’s Chief Open
Source Officer. In this keynote discussion, Torvalds revealed that he
doesn’t think he’s a programmer anymore.
So what does the person everyone thinks of as a programmer’s programmer do
instead? Torvalds explained:
“I don’t know coding at all anymore. Most of the code I write is in my
e-mails. So somebody sends me a patch … I [reply with] pseudo code. I’m so
used to editing patches now I sometimes edit patches and send out the patch
without having ever tested it. I literally wrote it in the mail and say, ‘I
think this is how it should be done,’ but this is what I do, I am not a
programmer.”
So, Hohndel asked, “What is your job?” Torvalds replied, “I read and write
a lot of email. My job really is, in the end, is to say ‘no.’ Somebody has
to say ‘no’ to [this patch or that pull request]. And because developers
know that if they do something that I’ll say ‘no’ to, they do a better job
of writing the code.”

PersonalMBA.com project stands for an MBA education without going to a
University and without paying a lot of money. Similarly I can think of an
MS in CS without going to a University and without paying a lot of money.
PersonalMBA.com‘s (99 Books) different category of MBA subjects are
<https://personalmba.com/best-business-books/>
01. Productivity & Effectiveness (7 books)
02. The Human Mind (4 books)
03. Communication (5 books)
04. Influence (4 books)
05. Decision Making (4 books)
06. Creativity & Innovation (3 books)
07. Project Management (2 books)
08. Opportunity Identification (2 books)

19. Corporate Skills (3 books)
20. Corporate Strategy (5 books)
21. Consulting (2 books)
22. Personal Finance (6 books)
23. Personal Development (5 books)
On the same lines if I had to design a course for Personal MS in CS I would
do the following:
Personal MS CS (Designed by me…)
01. Programming Paradigms
02. Algorithms & Data-Structures
03. Operating Systems
04. Database Management Systems
05. Data-mining & Data warehousing
06. Design Patterns
07. Web Application Development Technologies
08. Server Side Scripting Languages & Frameworks
09. Rich Internet Applications
10. Networking Technologies & Network Programming
11. Information Security & Cryptography
12. Compiler Designs
13. Artificial Intelligence
14. Human Computer Interface
15. ERP, CRM & Project Management
16. Embedded Systems Design
I am not ready with the language names specifics and the suggested books

have mentioned.
In the coming days I will write more about both PMBA & P.MS.CS. Stay tuned.

Five years after CBS publicized
<https://www.cbsnews.com/news/whos-minding-the-nuclear-weapons/> the fact
that the Air Force still used eight-inch floppy disks to store data
critical to operating the Air Force’s intercontinental ballistic missile
command, the aerial and space warfare service branch decided it was time to
officially retire them
<https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2019/10/air-force-finally-re…>
.
The system, once called the Strategic Air Command Digital Network
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strategic_Air_Command_Digital_Information_Net…>
(SACDIN),
relied on IBM Series/1 computers installed by the Air Force at Minuteman II
missile sites in the 1960s and 1970s. Despite the contention by the Air
Force at the time of the 60 Minutes report that the archaic hardware
offered a cybersecurity advantage, the service has completed an upgrade to
what is now known as the Strategic Automated Command and Control System
(SACCS), as Defense News reports
<https://www.c4isrnet.com/air/2019/10/17/the-us-nuclear-forces-dr-strangelov…>.
SAACS is an upgrade that swaps the floppy disk system for what Lt. Col.
Jason Rossi, commander of the Air Force’s 595th Strategic Communications
Squadron, described as a “highly secure solid state digital storage
solution.” The floppy drives were fully retired in June.
But the IBM Series/1 computers remain, in part because of their reliability
and security. And it’s not clear whether other upgrades to “modernize” the
system have been completed. Air Force officials have acknowledged network
upgrades that have enhanced the speed and capacity of SACCS’ communications
systems, and a Government Accountability Office report in 2016
<https://www.gao.gov/assets/680/677454.pdf> noted that the Air Force
planned to “update its data storage solutions, port expansion processors,
portable terminals, and desktop terminals by the end of fiscal year 2017.”
But it’s not clear how much of that has been completed.
