Just curious to know what software have you developed. If useful i would like to evaluate new developments by other linuxers.
We've got a kickstart (ks.cfg) file that automates the installation of Red
Hat
9 and other scripts that automate the configuration of the OS to perform
the
following functions
- A Mail Server for the intranet which uses ipop3d, sendmail & fetchmail.
- An Internet Router/Dialer with access control by user/workstation which
uses
iptables and connectd.
- A File Server which uses samba.
We've developed a Web based Admin tool to basically add/remove users,
groups
and mailing lists. At first we thought of using Webmin, but then figured
it
had too many options which began to confuse our customers, so we decided
to
write our own tool from scratch to do just want the customer needs to do.
Unfortunately the software currently only works on Red Hat 9. We're hoping
to
make it distro independent or better yet, bundle it with Debian in one CD
in
future, so that means we deliver the OS and software on the same CD.
Does this sound of interest / value to the community?
