Ctrl-c does not work either. The point thats missed is, from my test results, I feel that the actual copy of the selected text takes places only on _paste_ operation not on copy. Therefore it becomes essential to keep the source program on.
Try this out. If you are using Thunderbird, select a link or text from my mail and ctrl-c or rightclick > copy and then close Thunderbird. Open Konquerar and try to paste the copied text in the address bar. It won't work. Thats because the paste operation requires Thunderbird to be open in order to extract the text.
