DO NOT mount VCD's when you insert them into the CDROM Drive. If you have it on auto mount, unmount them using umount /cd/drive/path
I don't mount them. I get the video, its the sound thats absent.
PS: You could also try VLC player, but Mplayer is preferable.
VLC player gives broken sound.
Seems to be the sound drivers, i could be wrong .. am stumped :8
