This is not a hardware problem because with the same settings my windows works properly. ( Does it mean, I should always change my monitor screen setting every time when I switch between Windows & Linux. This can not be the option. There must be something else.)
I also had this problem previously, when I installed caldera eDesktop on my system. But it gives me various options to check the screen resolutions with *different refresh rate* during the installatin.
Please check what refresh rates your monitor supports and check weather they are the ones used in the XF86config. This file has all the details and is well commented.
I have checked this file. there are listed different refresh rates with each screen resolution. I think, I have to check these refresh rates. But don't know how to change the refresh rate.
