We have 30 branch offices situated in the radius of 150kms. we plan to connect to all the branches (have 2 pcs) for file transfer. what will be best option for connection all the branches to our Head office. All the branch offices have a phone connection and dialup modem.
Hook up all the branches on broadband connection. Use some VPN solution to connect them to the central server. Using phone lines will give you a bomb of a bill especially if u intend to use the connection for longer period of time.
Will PPTP will be of use? or any other VPN is of use?
On internet lines you have to use a VPN solution! On phone lines there is no point using a vpn soln. If your budget is good try going for ssl based vpn solution by juniper! Its clientless and painless! ;) You wud be surprised at the things it can do!
