Hi Vikram, Is the workshop open for all? If yes, where can I find more information regarding the program/agenda of the workshop?
Yes, the workshop is open for all. It is for newbies who may not be interested in pure tech so a "gentle" approach is being used. We don't have a website up and running yet at fsmm.in Waiting for volunteers to help with that :)
Hmmm
If you have a grandma/grandpa/nephew/niece/school-college kid who you want to get acquainted with FOSS then bring them over. We do have a limitation on the number of systems so some advance intimation would be good. Else get your GNU/Linux laptop and come over. Interesting. In terms of volunteer speakers, do you have any other topics open that I can contribute to, other than local language support? I have done so me localization work for a couple of govt projects I was involved in, but its not really my thing. I can on the other hand do some great sessions on the history of Linux and operating systems in general, lots of linux desktop user tips and tricks, overview of alternatives to common progrs and applications and maybe even a session on gaming in Linux. Anything sounds interesting?
P.s. I can put up a small joomla site with some basic content and an event schedule, if you want, on my centos server. But note - I'm no web designer. It will be functional, not pretty 😀.
