Use bittorrent. Its a python client, I think. It gives great speeds and its command line. So you can just put it to download in a screen. Kill X and relax ;) Azurues gives terrible download speeds. Dunno why. Dunno about ktorrent. never used it. Also, try setting the ports to 40000+...
