May be Hathway is blocking the protocol by using packeteer or something similar. This sucks big time. But I think you mentioned that it works in windows. So it should work in Linux too. BTW I dunno about installing bittorrent. I have it on my debian router and to install it, i just had to issue: apt-get install bittorrent. Which distro are you using? Dont you have an automated tool that can install it?? (or atleast find out the dependencies?)

Hmmm I haven't run ktorrent yet but tried out wget ad it seems to be going fine and i'm getting good speeds now. Well I can't seem to find Suse rpm for bittorrent. I do remember I had bittorrent in FC3 before. But, can't recall I got it by rpm or .tar.gz format. But, that used to work. Which is the automated tool that can do it for suse? Does kpackage do it. Sorry for not doing much research as i got exams coming up this week and can't spend too much time.
