The biggest issue is the price. 15K is a very high sum to pay since the same is available on ebay for 3-5K. Unfortunately, I dont think Reliance will allow you to use a card not bought from them.
Reliance card is available for Rs. 13k now.
Incidentally, Tata has the same service and has cut the price from 15K to 10K.
My customer who was shifting res., booked one after making full payment but it never turned up even after a fortnight. Finally he called up the TATA office and cancelled the order. He placed an order with Reliance in the morning and by evening the Reliance engineer installed it in his machine.
Reliance R-Connect in general gives a speed of 115 Kbps and I actually tested it on an LG LSI 110 in Ville Parle East by starting a big file download. After the initial burst of speed, it stabilised at 14.6 Kbytes per second. R Connect has a timefree package of Rs. 650 per month with max. data size of 1 GB. With this package you also get access to its smtp server to send mails of other accounts.
It would be interesting to know if 2 LG LSI 110 phones can be connected together on one machine to give a download speed of 230 Kbytes per second. :)

Rony.
