Hi All,
I am planing to give a small talk on FOSS - Road Ahead @ FreeDel. I would highly appreciate your input and feedback on the topic.
TIA for your help and support.
Topic: Free and Open Source Software - Customers, Consumers, Communities and Society
Format: 40-minute seminar-style presentations with 10 minutes for Q&A
Abstract:
Today, there is lot of talk of GNU/Linux adoption in all walks of life. However, in spite of superior technology, freedom, security, open standards, low cost and other advantages of FOSS the ground reality of the penetration of FOSS in main stream IT infrastructure remains poor to below average.
In this paper we will look @ the perceptions of the various stack holders in FOSS and what are the required steps to be taken by current stack holders to bring in the acceleration of the adoption of FOSS in the mainstream IT infrastructure.
Here is the draft out-line of the presentation.
