So I tried Knoppix, which seems to have only Live versions.
Are you sure about that? Knoppix allows you to install it to the hard disk, which eventually turns into a Debian system. -- |----------------------------------------------------------------------- | Mrugesh Karnik | Registered Linux User #375243 |-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora supports a huge range of hardware including 64 bit machines. I am on AMD 64 and ASUS K8N mobo, and everything works just great, out of the box, including the LAN card. Please specify your mobo and LAN card model. If you want to work on GNOME, I would recommend you Ubuntu or Debian. Fedora is also an good choice. -- Regards, Sanket Medhi, sanketmedhi [at] gmail.com http://gmail.com
