I found the screen to very bright but the camera was darkish, compared to the Aspire One. The dealer told him that the camera can be made bright through software settings but I have not tried it.
I checked out the camera of the LG netbook with the one of the Acer Aspire.
- Both are rated at 1.3 megapixels but the LG one is superior at factory default settings. Less grainy in the same lighting. Also faster in shifting focus of the lens objective. Then I went into the tools and changed the contrast and brightness and it improved some more. - However the built in mike when you capture video is not as sensitive as the mike of the Aspire. You have to be close to the mike and speak at a low pitch for clarity. It seems have some built-in filter to favour men with deep rumbling voices who sit intimately hunched over the machine! (Hope I'm not annoying some touchy people here!) - The playback audio quality is poorer than the Aspire. Max volume is not equivalent, way lower in the LG. The sound quality in both is sad, but the LG is comparatively tinny, as if the sound is trapped in a metal box. The tools do not seem to have any place for audio setting adjustments.
