I hv win98 & LINUX 8.0 on my HD now i want to use this HD on another PC but if i choose LINUX option from LILO, system restarts.
your bios might be taking different hdd parameters than the previous system. put the hdd back in old drive and see what cylinder head and sector parameters are detected there. if you put those manually in the new sytem, it should work. also, if you have used any drive overlay software in the old system, it would cause problem. let us know if u have.
& if win98 , it gives error - ' A device or resource required by VFAT is not present or is unavailable . VFAT cannot continue loading. system halted '
you can put follwoing entry in the config.sys, it will fix this up. but i suggest u solve above issue first. also make sure the path is right before putting it. device="c:\windows\ifshlp.sys
