Hi
I am very much interested in LInux
However i run a business and am not one of the techies who is only taking abount the greatness of opensource
Business requires ready made and strong fundamentals of any platform
The Linux forum should change their approach from promoting open source to talking about making things simpler to the man on the streets
A typical small business requires the following to cover 99% of its needs
- An operating system
- Open office
- Accounting software india compliant
And remember there is no way to by pass Microsoft hence all the persons who do not use linux must still get all reports and comunication which can still be compatible to Windows and Microdsoft or the other leading companies who offer thier software viz autocad/adobe etc
I wish the LInux platform comes forward and promotes all these together and takes up a challenge of converting ( let us say 25000 ) businesses in 2008
Thanks Ashwin R Shah
