Hi, A very dispassionate article indeed. I would love to see some economist to do some real analysis on whether is REALLY GNU/Linux making the cost cutting as opposed to MS Windows. Because as the interviewee rightly mentions, GNU/Linux ownership cost though are close to zero, as the revenue model of all the companies selling GNU/Linux goes, one has to pay for the support and that bites a lot. Having in-house support system may not be possible for small-cos.
So if anybody knows of some article in the regards of how economics works out in case of GNU/Linux please let me know.
