BTW, The only solution is -
# /etc/init.d/network stop # /sbin/ip addr flush eth0 # /etc/init.d/network start
This problem was solved in the initscripts updates and was not observed in Redhat 7.3.

i even changed the ip in /etc/hosts
but it does not reflect in # /sbin/ifconfig eth0
