The Yast tool is not gpld. It is covered by a YaST 2 and SuSE Linux licence. Rumours floated about Novell's plan to gpl Yast. But afaik they have not.

Great. You can copy and distribute distros with Yast2. Make sure that there are no restricted packages in the Suse distro though.
