Then build your own bootable CDROM with only the packages you need.
I suggest Thinstation http://www.thinstation.org/ There is TS-Omatic link which helps in creating your own bootable CDROM, USB image, PXE boot ...
WiFi may be tricky on Thinstation as it is targeted for wired thin clients - I have not looked at the distro for a while.
BTW, most mainstream distros have methods to re-master their default LiveCD.
