Hi , I did it for one of my friends with the same wifi card on Ubuntu. The released version of madwifi doesnt work with it. You need some svn snapshot. Have a look at the thread on ubuntu forums here http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=800686
Follow the step about downloading and compiling/installing madwifi-ng. And uninstall your madwifi using yum before doing it. It should work.
