Well, the mail sent to people when they join the list does contain instructions, so, it *should* occur to them initially.

Anyway, cnb is an old hand here, and I really expected him to have searched. Now we see that he did in fact search, and found nothing of much use.

The only flaw in his mail therefore, was that he didn't mention that he had already searched. Also, Cc'ing amish (the maintainer of the project on sourceforge) would have been a good idea.
