If you plan to go for AMD then avoid ASUS mobos. Coz Asus boards have poor support for linux. Google it, u`ll know. Still if are sure you want to buy ASUS, then go for the ones with NVIDIA chipsets.The ASUS mobos with SiS chipsets suck!
Uh? My experience speaks the other way round. In particular, Nvidia's closed drivers have issues often enough. Asus is a rather good company for motherboards (avoid the bottom end of the market, because that is where you get the crappiest components).
