We poeple at NCST are developing one OpenType font for Devanagari. It is a Unicode font. The font has to be tested thoroughly and then we'll put it in public domain. It may take a week or two.

We have modified FreeType font rendering library in X server so that it now supports OpenType font. We have also built Indic Script Shping Engine in the X server. It now works according to Unicode standard.
