I wanted to know whether ogg-vorbis files can be played in the ubiquitous MP3 players or the iPod? And on another tangent, are the MP3 players supported in Linux? What about cell-phones like Nokia 3250, N series, etc.? Are they completely locked in to the Nokia Suite?
The iPod can play ogg vorbis if you replace the Apple firmware and install Rockbox in it. Rockbox is a Free firmware for iPods and many other music players which add many more features to the players. http://www.rockbox.org/ Regards, BG
