Hi!
I am planning to buy a 4 channel DVR for video surveillance. The models I have seen supports only IE (using ActiveX) for real time monitoring and movement of cameras. Some claimed to work with Firefox but on actual testing it didn't work at all.
Has anyone implemented any non-PC based DVRs which can be accessed from Linux based systems using either Firefox or Chrome? I am against using a dedicated PC for it due to its larger form factor and high power consumption. This device is supposed to be running 24x7 in a closed loft.
